View Full Version : Unable to update Miraclebox from USB

Hi I have a miraclebox mini HD on version 3.2. I'm trying to update using ver 4.2 file from openvix downloads section. I've extracted the folder and copied the whole folder calle miraclebox\mini\files to a usb stick. I swithc off from switch, plug in usb, power on box, but it boots and then loads normally and then adds a timeshift folder on the usb. Can someone shed some light. Thanks.

Stopped supporting updates a while ago for some reason, no idea why as superb box - see more the Miraclebox section on this forum. Had to flash openatv so get latest ABM updates so had to ditch vix. You have to install softcams manually, there is an ipk file for this on the web, once this is installed will show up in plugins. Ended up flashing most my boxes to openatv after this save the hassle of anything else being unsupported in a couple of years time

e2 receivers can be fussy with type of usb used i have used 8gb kingston/cruzer and integral with no issues formatted to fat 32 first.

when you power on the box the power button should start to flash you then press power button to begin sw update if power button does not flash it means you dont have correct image or problem with your usb

Hi,
i also have a miraclebox premium mini HD. It is on ver 4.1 but i am looking for an update to 5.1, i cant see the box listed on openvix.xo.uk does anyone know if its available?
only ones listed on site are.

maybe other image makers might still support it?
