Installation of VIX image 1.3

Hi gurus, can you please enlighten me ?
I have a lot of material recorded on my hdd, will it be wiped out when I install a new image VIX 1.3 ?

Your recordings will remain intact, the only time I have had an issue with the HDD not being seen at all is when I have gone from a newer image to an older image, presumbly this may be due to drivers updates?
