Hello,

I have recently had a Sky Q upgrade on my satellite and cable and now my VU Duo doesn't work when it previously worked pre upgrade.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you ask for a hybrid LNB?

Did you ask for a hybrid LNB?

Hello,

Thanks for the reply but I didn't know what to ask for. I just thought it was a standard installation and my Duo would work.

What is involved in a hybrid LNB?

The default installation is to use a wideband LNB. This only works with the Sky Q receivers. If you are intending to connecting other receivers in addition to teh Sky Q, you should have a hybrid LNB, with separter wires to teh other receivers.

Sorry to hijack, my question is sort of relevant. If OP would have asked the sky installer to fit an hybrid lnb, how many ports would this have given him for use on his own enigma2 receivers

2 Wideband ports (for 1 Sky Q) and 4 universal/conventional ports.

I asked the Sky Engineer to fit me with the 6 universal/conventional port Hybrid LNB when I had my SkyQ installed earlier this month.

Thanks,

I've seen hybrid LNB's for sale that work with SKY Q, are they an easy diy job?

Replacing LNB is easy. Don't push on the dish while changing it.

I hope it is clear that the non-sky-q receivers will need their own cabling.
