Hard disc drive

Hi,
Please can someone tell me if I swap over the hard drives from my Technomate 3T nano and my Technomate 2T nano will I loose all the recordings on the hard drives?
If I swap the hard drives over will they work without having to be initialized again and losing all my recordings?

Initialise=format.

If you just swap them, the contents will not be affected.

If you initialise/format them, they will be wiped.

Just to report back.
I swapped the hard drives this morning and everything worked out great.
