How do I stop this unwanted message appearing on screen. I have got my timer set to zap to channel 1 (BBC1) at 6pm daily mon-fri. and the message appears just after that, but not every day, maybe twice a week. 55018

Has a timer recording just finished when you see the message?

No, it has just zapped to channel 1, but it doesn't show every time.

Thread moved from bouquet upload section

It is best to use the image support section for image issues as problems/solutions are usually the same irrespective of receiver. It also helps others searching for the same issue although they may have another receiver.

Please read the thread in link below which explains things better.

No harm has been done, no need to apologise. Please bear in mind for future support questions.

Did you create the zap timer from scratch, or edit an existing record timer?

I created it from scratch.55019

delete timer and remake it.Look for setting not to set stb in standby After recording or zap.Did not test if it can be done by edithing timer

... that setting doesn't exist in zap timers, that's why I wondered how it was first created.

maybe choose zap and record by mistake ?

Upload your autotimers.xml and timers.xml files so that there is no guesswork. Both will be in etc/enigma2/ You may need to zip them first.

Both zap timers have after event set to auto, which I believe means go back into the state it was before the timer was activated.

Whether zap times use after event is another matter.

I don't know whether I've uploaded those files properly or not.

I hope I've done it right this time. 55030

I can (possibly) see a way for this to happen.

A Zap timer can wake the box up. The would classify as being woken up for a recording. So when the timer finishes (which for a zap timer is as soon as it zaps) teh code wodul see that teh box had been woken up by the timer and hence try to shut it down again (hence query you).

So, could it be that on occasions this zap timer is actually waking the box up a few minutes before (these leading to queries) but at other times the box is already on (so there is no query)?

What Birdman says is feasible. That may be why it happens, but is there a way of stopping the unwanted/unneeded message ?

What Birdman says is feasible. That may be why it happens, but is there a way of stopping the unwanted/unneeded message ?Only by changing the code so Zap timers get an afterevent of "do nothing".
