does this guide also apply for the v2 model on flashing ? sorry if this is a newbie question..

Yes, but make sure you use the v2 image: http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/miraclebox-images/premium-micro-v2/

ordered miraclebox to come with latest openatv.....

Have you considered the formula?

The formuler 1 and formuler f4 turbo are better packages. If you need H.265 hevc look at the formuler f4 turbo, better value package and excellent quality.
