View Full Version : Has anybody been able to use Unicable II LNB with Sky+ HD box

I have mounted a Unicable II IDLU-32UL40-UNBOO-OPP on my old Sky dish.
Into my VU + Ultimo 4K via a Labgear 6 way splitter I have 1 connection.
Into the 2nd tuner connection of my VU+ I have a motorised dish.

Thanks to the posts on here after setting up all the tuners all is working perfectly on my VU + Ultimo 4K

VIA the Labgear splitter I have 2 connections into my sky+HD box.

I have changed from standard to SCR settings in the sky box but get no signal on either connection.

If I only have 1 connection to the Sky box I get signal and get good locked connection.

There seems to be a great deal of counter/conflicting views on the internet as to whether a Sky+HD box will work with Unicable when set to SCR.
OR may be it is just this Unicable model that will not fully work.

Any views greatly appreciated.

What settings are available on the Sky box

AS I understand it there are 4 SCR settings.

Channel 9 - 1280MHZ
Channel 11 - 1382 MHZ
Channel 14 - 1484 MHZ
Channel 17 - 1596 MHZ

Apparently these are the only channels that work with the sky software in the box.

 What is the point having Unicable if you are limited to 4 SCRs?

Anyway those channel/frequency combinations don't match your device.

Thanks Huevos.
I was beginning to think that it was a miss match.
The point of the Unicable LNB is that I can use it on my VU+ (happily recording 5 concurrent recordings, I haven't tried on more than that) and connect other boxes to it in the future. The down side is that I would have liked to feed the Skybox from it which is only working on 1 feed.
All this through 1 wire which is what I have in this house.
