View Full Version : OS Mega will not load Kodi

I have just received my new OS Mega. One of the reasons I upgraded to this box was to use Kodi. I'm using the latest OpenVix image. I installed the Kodi Launcher plugin but when I run it the screen goes black for a few seconds and then goes back to the tv channel that was playing before.

I've looked on other threads and used Putty to telnet the two commands that some say has to be done to make it work. However, this made no difference.

I'd be grateful for any advice on how to get Kodi up and running.

It used to work on the older versions of vix so could be able somewhere

It hasn't worked since image 023 and I'm not sure if there is any action by the team to resolve this.

Thanks for these responses. That's a real pity, I bought this box as I'd read about its ability to run Kodi well. I've used OpenVix for many years but may have to consider a different image now. Openatv perhaps?

Issue should be fixed in next release build. I've just tested our latest developer build and Kodi is loading fine.

That's great to hear. I'll look out for the update.

Fixed in build 026.

User may need to uninstall and re-install kodi. Possibly even re-flash.

Kodi now loading after updating image and deleting an reinstalling Kodi. Much appreciated.
