For anyone that has a receiver with both DVB-C tuner and DVB-S2 tuners and would like to create one set of bouquets from both services, then this file may be what your looking for.

54543

What Does the file do?

- Replaces non working sly UK channels with vm cable channels
- Adds some channels from sly ROI
- Adds a ITV regions bouquet
- Adds a Irish bouquet about channel 101 (this can be hidden through the "Hide sections" feature in ABM)
- Replaces non working HD channels with the SD but retaining the HD number format.

This file must be placed in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/custom on your receiver.

Providers Setup

Sly Roi: Yes
Sly Roi: area - ROI HD
Sly Roi: FTA only - No
Sly Roi: generate main bouquets - No
Sly Roi: generate sections bouquets - No
Sly Roi: generate HD bouquet - No

Sly UK: FTA only - No
Sly UK: generate main bouquets - Yes (all channels)
Sly UK: generate sections bouquets - yes
Sly UK: generate HD bouquet - yes
Sly UK: generate FTA bouquet - No
Sly UK: generate FTA HD bouquet - No

Vermin IE: generate main bouquet - No
Vermin IE: generate sections bouquets - No
Vermin IE: generate HD bouquets - No
Vermin IE: generate FTA bouquets - No
Vermin IE: generate FTA HD bouquet - No

ABM configure page

Include 'not indexed' channels - Yes

Once ABM is set like above, and the custom mix file is put on your receiver, run ABM and all going well you should end up with 1 set of bouquets. If i have missed any channels, or any channels don't clear, then please let me know.

Only thing i can see not happening is the HD channels from the Irish bouquet i added above channel 101 are not showing in the HD bouquet. So anyone with experience with custom mix files, any help would be appreciated. Here is a debug log just in case it's needed.

Updated file, simplified it a little bit. Same settings as above

Debug log

If someone could help please....

I'm having a bit of trouble with my HD bouquet. In my custommix file i have added several channel from cable above channel 101 to create an 'Irish' bouquet . There are 8 HD channels which i added above channel 101, which don't show in the HD bouquet. There is a 'Irish' bouquet marker made, but only a single satellite HD channel inside, which is a bit strange as it isn't a channel i added above 101. You can see from the image below.

The added bouquets are not hide-able like i thought, But simple editing of the file would remove them if you don't want them added.

You are wasting your time deleting the not-indexed channels. Those numbers are not fixed and always change.

A better setup is to disable not-indexed, and import any channels you want from Sky RoI

jawz
06-09-17, 05:59
i guess with disabling not-indexed channels i won't be able to add an itv bouquet as they are not-indexed channels. I also tried using the hack to add the itv bouquet in the ABM hacks but this only adds the itv channels from the region you scan abm in.

You need not indexed to show itv regions. Afterwards you can delete the channels you haven't placed in other sections.

@jawz this hack should help you with ITV bouquet http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?47016-ABM-Hacks-Examples&p=365724&viewfull=1#post365724 it should add all regions. You may also need to adjust channel numbers for the recent changes

@Huevos would it be possible for a stand alone ipk to be created for the updated plugin? As i have no access to the plugin section. I have driver issues with my gigablue so on an older outdated version of vix.

Just grab it off the 5.0 feeds and load it on your box with the ipk installer.

Hi thanks for the link, i'm stuck back on 4.2.0.26 build. Would it be possible for an 4.0 link as this one put my receiver into a boot loop. I couldn't get a log off the receiver unfortunately.

thanks

Huevos

No, because the commit is only 2 days old so was never in 4.0. Unpack the ipk and install the plugin manually.

I have been playing around with my mix file today. Trying to achieve one set of bouquets containing every single channel available, including all the eir sports, made in channels and ITV region channels etc. But i also want to delete/hide the not-indexed channels.

here's my findings...

1. Using the 'ITV regions' hack, i can't hide the not-indexed channels as the hack won't work. And i can't delete the not-indexed channels using the 'delete lines' in my mix file, they don't seem to take effect.

2. Adding the ITV channels on to the end of my channel list using the 'channels to add by id' hack works, i can hide the not-indexed channels but the ITV channels that over lap into the not-indexed channels then get hidden. My way around this is to edit the sat_282_sky_uk.xml provider file. changing the value of line 182 from <section number="1050">Not indexed</section> to <section number="1083">Not indexed</section> to suit the last number i added by id.

Here's the part of my mix file where i added the channels by ID...

Don't touch the provider file. You can do everything in the mix file.

Something like this (not tested)...

del sections[1050]
for number in customised["video"].keys()
if number > 1082:
del customised["video"][number]

Also why have you got your ITVs in that weird order?

jawz
15-09-17, 23:43
Yeah i would prefer not to touch the provider file, that was the only way i could mange to make it work myself. Would i just add these lines into the hack section?

for the weird order i just went north to south, hd first, +1 and the SD last. No particular reason lol

Huevos
16-09-17, 15:06
Add at the end of your hacks section.

jawz
16-09-17, 16:50
Hi i added these lines to the bottom of my mix. I got a crash. Here is a crash log.
54956

Also i included my custom mix i'm working with. I removed lines 254-400 in my mix where i was deleting the not-indexing channels and removed line 223 where i was creating a bouquet for ITV regions.
54957

I also tried this hack like this with a '#' infront similar to lines above this. But same outcome... crash

#del sections[1050]
for number in customised["video"].keys()
if number > 1082:
del customised["video"][number]

Huevos
16-09-17, 18:06
del sections[1050]
for number in customised["video"].keys():
if number > 1082:
del customised["video"][number]

Thank you very much Huevos, that worked a treat. As for the order of the ITV channels would it make more sense to have them the same way they are added on the uk provider file?

On a side note, would you have any idea why the channels i add above 101 don't appear in the HD bouquet?
here in this photo you will see the 6 HD channels i add above channel 101 in a bouquet called Irish channels
54959

But when you look in the HD bouquet, none of these channels added above 101 are in here, but the ones below this 101 are inside the bouquet.
strange thing is a channel i didn't add into the Irish bouquet is in there.
54960

jawz

Jawz I have just been playing with Huevos code if you want to delete all none indext channels and have ITV Regions you can tweak the delete sections hack and use ITV Regions hack I have just done it with this

# Add ITV regions Bouquet
ITVs = []
ITVsPlusOne = []
rest = []
last_section = max(sections.keys())
last_section_name = sections[last_section]

for service in sorted(services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"].keys()):
if service in range(last_section, 1450) or service in [103, 133, 178]:
# ITV regions
if 'interactive_name' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service] and (service in [103,178] or (service in range(last_section, 1450) and '+1' not in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"] and ('ITV' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"] or 'STV' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"] or 'UTV' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"]))):
ITVs.append(services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service])

# ITV +1 regions
elif 'interactive_name' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service] and (service in [133] or (service in range(last_section, 1450) and '+1' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"] and ('ITV' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"] or 'STV' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"] or 'UTV' in services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service]["interactive_name"]))):
ITVsPlusOne.append(services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service])

else:
rest.append(services["sat_282_sky_uk"]["video"][service])

i = last_section
sections[i] = "ITV Regions"

sort_list = []
for x in ITVs:
sort_list.append((x, re.sub('^(?![a-z])', 'zzzzz', x['interactive_name'].lower())))
sort_list = sorted(sort_list, key=lambda listItem: listItem[1])
for service in sort_list:
customised["video"][i] = service[0]
i += 1

sort_list = []
for x in ITVsPlusOne:
sort_list.append((x, re.sub('^(?![a-z])', 'zzzzz', x['interactive_name'].lower())))
sort_list = sorted(sort_list, key=lambda listItem: listItem[1])
for service in sort_list:
customised["video"][i] = service[0]
i += 1

sections[i] = last_section_name
sort_list = []
for x in rest:
sort_list.append((x, re.sub('^(?![a-z])', 'zzzzz', x['service_name'].lower())))
sort_list = sorted(sort_list, key=lambda listItem: listItem[1])
for service in sort_list:
customised["video"][i] = service[0]
i += 1

# Delete sections
del sections[1094]
for number in customised["video"].keys():
if number > 1093:
del customised["video"][number]

This delete all not indexed channels.

Im not sure if it will be the same fore you, for some reason the bouquet before (BT Sports Interactive) ends at channel number 1037 but the ITV Regions bouquet starts at 1050 maybe it needs tweaking to get the ITV Regions bouquet to start at 1040

Huevos

Easiest way to cure this is switch off the HD bouquet and create your own.

17-09-17, 15:44
Spend some time reading the code. There is a list of service types in dvbscanner.py. Try to work it out. If you can't, post your attempt. It's the only way to lesrn.

jawz
17-09-17, 15:49
thanks I was reading only the provider file. will give it a go

Huevos
17-09-17, 16:38
You need to look in the files in the scanner folder. CustomMix xml files are read by tools.py. Ifyou don't read the surrounding code you are just trying to write code in the dark.

jawz
18-09-17, 00:28
thanks for the help Huevos but i think i will need to come back to this once i learn some basic python.

Huevos
18-09-17, 11:36
I think it works the other way around. You want to achieve something with your code. Learning just comes along the way and is secondary.

Huevos
18-09-17, 12:42
Something like this at the end of your hacks section should create an HD section as the first bouquet. Order would be identical to your current list.

current_first_section = sorted(sections.keys())[0] # get the current first section number
start_HD_bouquet_at = 1 # where we are going to place our new HD section (i.e. the first bouquet)
if start_HD_bouquet_at < current_first_section: # Only add this section if there is space
sections[start_HD_bouquet_at] = "HD Channels" # name the HD section
current_slot = start_HD_bouquet_at # remember the next available slot
for lcn in sorted(customised["video"].keys()): # iterate through occupied slots
if not (current_slot < current_first_section): # if there are no more slots in the HD section
break
if customised["video"][lcn]["service_type"] in DvbScanner.HD_ALLOWED_TYPES: # if this channel is HD
customised["video"][current_slot] = customised["video"][lcn]
current_slot += 1

19-09-17, 15:27
Huevos is that code written just to have the bouquet placed at the top, or could i edit this to make the bouquet be placed at the bottom?

Huevos
19-09-17, 17:32
Huevos is that code written just to have the bouquet placed at the top, or could i edit this to make the bouquet be placed at the bottom?No, but the code to do that is simpler.

if customised["video"]: # check not zero length
LCN_list = sorted(customised["video"].keys()) # get LCNs sorted low to high
next_slot = LCN_list[-1]+1 # get last LCN +1
sections[next_slot] = "HD Channels" # create HD section and name it
for lcn in LCN_list: # run through LCNs in order
if customised["video"][lcn]["service_type"] in DvbScanner.HD_ALLOWED_TYPES:: # if this channel is HD
customised["video"][next_slot] = customised["video"][lcn] # add to HD section
next_slot += 1 # bump slot

Huevos

I'll have a look later. Please post your xml file here. Also HD bouquet needs tweaking. HD bouquets start at channel x001. i.e. round UP to nearest thousand +1.

jawz
23-09-17, 12:38
On a side note, would it be possible to also tweak the ITV regions bouquet. Currently if you set ABM to scan any HD area, the ITV bouquet also includes the area it's set to. So for example ABM scan London HD, places ITV London hd,sd, +1 in the normal channel list, and then places them into the ITV bouquet too. I'm just trying to get rid of the duplication of channels. If this is too big an ask then just ignore it :)

thanks

Also in your file your markup is in a mess. You have <instructions> as a child of <hacks>.

The delete section is to delete not indexed channels whist using the ITV sections hack my method worked here http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?57549-Custom-Mix-Irish-VM-Cable-with-Sly-UK-Sat&p=457601&viewfull=1#post457601 but he has adjusted to add stv 2 but it should have only jumped one number.You're making a mistake using the section number. Section numbers change especially if you are coding dynamically. Use the section name. Example of code here: http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?47016-ABM-Hacks-Examples&p=458023&viewfull=1#post458023

try:
del sections[FavTools().getSectionNumber(sections, "Not indexed")] # needs class available
except:
pass

Yes I know what it is for, but why is he trying to delete a section marker that does not exist (hence the crash). Should be searching for that marker dynamically.

I changed the numbers to suit where the not-indexed channel section is...

How should my delete section look?

# Delete Not-Indexed sections
del sections[]
for number in customised["video"].keys():
if number > :
del customised["video"][number]

thanks

So i did a bit of testing with your code. I removed the itv and hd hacks i had on my file before i tested.
The delete sections code worked along with the class code you added in the ABM hacks example thread. I didn't edit any of the code, just copied and pasted onto my file. Not sure if i need to edit any of it. Here's my file with your code added. Have i done it correctly?

For the ITV tool for getting and sorting the channels and hd bouquet, do i still need the old itv and hd hack on too? or should i be adding some code like the delete section code?

thanks

@Huevos you mentioned that i would need to adjust my HD bouquet. Could you suggest how i would do this. Currently in my HD bouquet i have channels that don't clear such as bt sports HD channels.

Do i need all the code i currently have on my mix file? I really have no clue

thanks

No you don't need all that code. That code is just an example I wrote to show users what is possible.

I don't mind giving you some direction if you get stuck, but so far I have written everything for you. Sorry I don't have time for this.
