CI+ Module.

Hi everyone,

Just looking for a bit of info.
I have a Duo2 and an Ultimo, both running vix images.

I've recently got a the new Canal Digitaal CI+ Module with embeded smart card.
It works perfectly well in both boxes but VIX doesn't support CI+.

my question is what am I missing?
I put the module in my Samsung smart tv which does support CI+ but I can't see any difference.

What does the + add to things? (pun intended)

Most Open HD Freaks images work with CI+, also a few others. Many receivers were initially advertised as CI+ but are not.

I was wondering if using an image that supports CI+ will give me anything extra?
I don't have any issues using VIX and it's my favourite image.

The only extra is CI+. Which image is a personal choice, some better, some not so good. Load them using Multiboot and see.
