Hi.
I have a problem with recording with my VU + Duo does not want to change satellite.
If I programmed recording on Thor 0.8W and my box is set to a channel of 13.0E then nothing will be recorded at all.
Hope someone can help me with this thanks.
I am using a V-box2 (36V) to change satellite

I use Open Wix 5 0 023 and i set recording from EPG
The strange thing is that the dish moves quite well when I choose channels from all other menus

Tested now with my VU + Solo2 and it worked just like I wanted the dish moved to the right satellite and started recording.
Have the same image on it so no difference

There is no reason why it should not move the dish and then record the channel.

Have you tested a few things. Is the channel you want to record working if you select it.

Have you tried moving your dish in advance to 1°w then setting up a timer of the channel you want to record. Just do a test - set a timing for say the next five minutes and see what happens.

I have tested putting the timer with EPG at 1 ° w then moved the dish to 13 ° E and waited a while when it's time for recording the VFD
flash "recording" but the dish does not move.

if you are watching a channel on one other sat it is normal the dish does not move if you do not give priotity to recordings.

But my solo2 move the dish if i am on an other satellit .
How do i give priotity to recordings?
Something i missed?

That setting was already done!
I tested going to openvix-4.2.030.release same as I have on my VU + Solo2
without success :(

Start getting sick and tired of Duo2
Think I sell it and keep my solo2 :mad:

maybe take the time to compare settings for recording and tunersettings for recording between both boxes. If it works on solo2 it should be working on duo2 as well.Image is the same.

take a backup of the settings on the solo2 and transfer it and restore it on the Duo2

Do not really know how to do it.
Is it possible to have the same settings in duo + as in solo2

What happens if the channel you are trying to record is on the same satellite as the channel currently being received by the Duo2.

Have tried to record a channel on the same satellite while I was on another channel on the same satellite and the receiver does NOT change channel

if you are recording why would the box change channel ? If you are watching and recording on same satelite and same transponder it should work fine.Differant transponders is a problem if you have only one cable attached. With rotor you can only record from one sat at the time.

It works with my solo2

By default on a twin tuner receiver the channel will not change if on the same satellite. If you use "zap & record" it will change channel.

YES YES YES :)

It was the dubbletuner that was faulty so when i removed that tuner and only use the single tuner all work fine :)

Its unlikely to be the tuner - maybe the cable.

just wrong settings.Tuner will be fine.Probably dual tuner and rotor on 1 tuner exit, not on second exit.Glad you found the solution but best is to have a fixed disk and rotor on dual tuner.Possibilitys at random.
