Ordered VU+ Solo SE V2, Some Questions

Ordered the cable version so couple of questioms if snyone can help me please
How much support is there for this box now consudering its 2 years old.

Also im not sure what hard drive i need for this and what is the max size it can take

It does not take an internal HDD, make sure you use a HDD with its own power supply unit.

I used a 1tb hard drive on one of these boxes a while back, and it was not a powered one, and had no issues at all with it m8

I use a 2Tb 2.5in Western Digital Elements HDD conected to the VU+ via USB which also provides the power. No problems experienced .....

So why do some people specifically say use 1 with its own power supply. Im so confused

If you are using a 3.5in HDD it will definately need its own power supply. 2.5in HDD's very often don't need an additional power supply, especially if you buy one from someone like Western Digital who provide a range of 2.5in HDD's in enclosures with controllers incorporated.

... it still depends on whether the e2 box can supply enough power via usb to run the drive.

Obviously, the less power the drive needs the more likely it will work, but power supplies between e2 boxes will vary, and some will work and some may not.
