EPG without dish

How can you populate EPG without a dish. I understand crossepg uses a sat frequency to get epg but is there an alternative way that doesn't require a dish present?

Use EPG importer plugin.

Cant see it in plugin downloads, I'm running tenchnomate nano 2 super, with latest vix build. How does EPG Importer Plugin work, how does it know to populate channels from all different regions?

It is already installed.

You select the sources and save
You set a schedule.
It downloads from the internet
