Thanks for replying, I am watching the TV and it just happens? I also have noticed every 15 minutes or so the silver VIX appears on the screen for 5 seconds or so? I can not make it happen it just does,as said earlier very new to this so what might be obvious to experienced people isn't to me. Thanks gws

This crash didn't just happen. It was caused by something in CrossEPG. So you need to run that again and see if it happens again.

It does not happen when I manually update crossepg, crossepg is set to update at 06:30 in morning.... I am fairly sure that when the error comes up on the screen it also mentions "memory leaks" but this happens so fast I cant be sure,I expected the error message on the screen to be reflected in the log file but it would appear not. Thanks GWS

Assuming that crossepg stores in the same place as EPG then it is /Media/HDD

By default it is set to internal flash. Can you check in your EPG settings for exact save location please?

I can not find any settings in the crossepg concerning save paths? In the general EPG it is /Media/HDD am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks GWS
Edit are there any advantages in using crossepg over the default EPG?

Crossepg downloads the data for the epg. BTW I see you are using rytec providers with crossepg - you should use epg importer for that instead.
