Anyone able to play 4k content via Kodi

I have Wookie build on it. Works very well. Tried some 4k movies but only here audio.

Is there any settings I need to change.

I see the maximum resolution in system menu is 1980 x 1080 is this where my problem lies?

Although many Android/Kodi boxes/builds are advertised as 4k, many are not. My old one was 1080p maximum. My latest box has H265 decoding and does give out true 4k. However it is has an 8 core processor, 3g/32g of memory and the latest Android 7.11 on it. Better to get a dedicated box rather than running a custom build within Linux. Google the box - H95 Pro Plus.

No worries it's not a big problem as I Can always download and play on my smart Tv.

Just more curious as to why it wouldn't play.

Thanks

I find that the servers I use are not fast enough to stream 4k. I find it is better to download the whole movie first.
