Update android box

I have a MXV android box pfd_s805. Ive tried to install kodi 17 so I can install my desired build but was getting a parsing error which I've found out is due to me not having android version 5.0...

Is there anyway to upgrade to 5.0 from 4.4.2

That is an older box unless they supply an update to 5.0 then no.
Only other option might be Openelec but that only give you Kodi no Playstore apps.
