I wouldn't blame the Duo. I'd check the alignment of your dish and signal levels. Also check you've entered correctly your longitude and latitude.

thanks for your reply but i dont see how it could be the dish as my dm as no problem gettin all the sats thanks

Update your satellites.xml file to the latest and then re-scan.

Alignment can stop your tuning to certain satellites, but if you say your DM tunes them fine it could be a setting somewhere.

Are you using automatic scan or something to scan for all the satellites?

Have you tried just sending a set of Enigma2 settings/bouquets to the receiver? http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?21-Enigma-2-Settings

i find that when its done a automatic scan i have to go back and manually find the sats its mist and fine tune the ones it as found as the signal is weak and store them using usals thanks

What signal strengths to do get with 28.2/28.5? What size dish do you have fitted?

i have got a 80 cm dish and get about 80ish on 28.2 thanks

Check out the signal strengths on 1deg, 13deg and 19deg too, that will give an idea how your alignment is. 16deg I wouldn't worry too much, parts of that satellite aren't even working and had to move.

yeah they are weak wen doin a auto scan i have to fine tune them ive just been speakin to a m8 of mine whos got a dm 800 and he as the exact same problems as me but when useing a dm 600 or a technomate it pulls them all in just like mine startin to think its somethin to do with enigma 2 thanks

I faced similar symptoms to what you posted a couple of months back. Its was the alignment on the TM-2200 motor that I had setup. I upgraded to a TM-2600 motor and got the dish aligned by a pro (cypchris on here) Been perfect since. Even getting satellites now that I previously could not tune to such as 16deg and 39deg. Signal levels on other satellites increased too.

thats interestin how much does it cost for a pro to realign a motorised setup and does any 1 know of a good engineer who will do it in stoke on trent thanks

yes, i have also noticed a few things with the VU i am on Dream Elite like you and i find that firstly the scanning of a sat is very very slow, on my 800 i can scan 1w in about 6 mins at max. on the vu make that at least 15.

Next i see the signal strength is a lot lower on all sats, on the 800 i get 90% plus on 1w but that is 75-80% on the VU i dont get any breaking up but the strength is lower. 16 east is a very weak satellite i have noticed that on some sat.xml files it comes in as 15.8 east and that gets a stronger signal.
