OS-Mega Remote

Does anyone have any issues with there remote?

Mine seems to be very limited to how far away from the box I point it, and it works.
It seems unless I'm pointing directly at the box, it just doesn't respond.

Only normally have these issues with duff batteries, but it's only a few days old.

Not sure if it's just the position of the box, but the Sony Blu-Ray player in the same cabinet doesn't have any issues.

Same remote as the OS Mini, i had to open mine up and reset the sensor as it was pointing at 45 degrees off centre.

Yup...mine is pretty bad too. It is a pretty common issue. WOS actually sent me another remote out which worked a little better but not by much. I opened up the worse remote and reset the sensor aligntment and even soldered in a new IR emitter from another remote but there was zero improvement. I was tempted to open the box and check the alignment of the IR receiver but didnt want to void any warranty so just decided to live with it. You get used to pointing it exactly at the box after a little while.

It is such an awful remote. Wish i could use my vu solo2 remote for it.

Change the batteries.

The buttons are stiff man.. I'm sure many people would agree they are rubbish. Excellent receiver tho.

Just to update my previous posts, it appears that my remote is playing silly buggers with my receivers (all 3 remotes) unless it's right in front of it, then it's very hit and miss. Updated to latest vix last weekend and was fine until today. Very strange
