Hi Guys,
This forum has been very helpful and I have learnt a lot from various post on this site. I am now stuck and hope that some genius would help me out. I am able to receive channels on various transponder on the Astra Sat (28.2) but not able to receive the FTA on 12560 H & V transponder. Rather I am not able to get a signal on these two transponder. The message I am receiving is Tune Failed and SNR is 0%. I have recently purchased Clark Tech ET9000 receiver and am using OpenPLI image dated 15/01/11. I am not sure whether some sort of setting is required in the Tuner Setting. I have presently set Tuner 'A' only as I have got only one cable coming from the dish. By thewa all ther channels are fine and the SNR is nearly 98% on them. My previous receiver was also able to receive the channels but not this one. Could anyone pleas help me out??

TIA

i would first make sure you have a upto date satellites.xml on the box first. as this is where the transponder data is stored.

have you updated all the drivers posted as this box is in its infancy and many bugs are being ironed out

there have been issues with a few fringe channels on this box

also 12560 has no transmitting H channels only V

Yes thats right the box is in its infancy and thats why I try to keep the beta version updated, after 3-4 days normally. You are saying that there are no channels on 12560 H, but I have checked various sites like Lyngsat (http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html) and King of Sat and I can see channels like Peace TV, Prime TV etc on 12560 H. But I am not even able to get the CBS action on 12560 V. Is it the problem with the Tuner configuration or the Satellite.xml? The satellite.xml file I am using must be a month old now. Any advice please?

Thanks

Hi again,
Just to make sure that its not the satellite.xml file, I have uploaded the latest settings available on this site, but result is the same, no channles on H & V polarisation, on the 12560 transponder (28.2, Astra). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am guessing its the Tuner configuration but really don't know as I have played with a few settings but didn't help.

just to clarify mate

CBS action is V yes
peace tv is freq. 12559
prime tv is freq. 11623

Yes I have checked that. CBS action is on 12560V, and now the Prime TV has also changed its frequency to the 12560H (on 3/01/2011), same as Peace TV but unfortunately the signal (SNR) is 0% on both V&H polarities on the transponder, 12560.

phoenix,

Would you please be able to advise me what the location is for the satellites.xml using a ViX 2.1 image? I have just searched the box using FTP and come up with 4 locations !!

The Bishop

load the satellites.xml to the
/etc/tuxbox directory on your box.
as suggested above
