i have a question maybe someone know.
if i have plugin and dont want to copy and use telnet to install ,where can I copy my plugins to the vu so i can install them and uinstall without that the ipk disapear.

if i connect the vu the internet and download plugins i get at lot of plugins but cant i download tis so they stayts permanent on the vu for install and uninstall as many time i want

i fyou have an ipk file put it in


/tmp

telnet to box and type


ipkg install /tmp/*.ipk

If I understand the question correctly, you want to be able to copy some plugins on to the box so that you don't have to keep uploading/downloading them?

If that's the case, the only way to do this would be to ftp them to somewhere like a usb or hdd. You would, however, need to then install them manually by logging in to telnet, and then issuing the commands as silverfox posted...
