If using openvix you can download it from the plugin feeds. It may say 17.0 in the feeds but it is actually 17.1

BTW it is only available for certain models.

Whatever image you are using look in the plugin feeds. As stated, to use Kodi on a Vu+ receiver you need to have either of the following;
Vu+ Duo 2
Vu+ Solo SE
Vu+ Solo 2
Vu+ Solo 4K
Vu+ Uno 4K
Vu+ Ultimo 4K

It's not named kodi in the plugin feeds it's named m3x... something can't really remember I'm not at home to check sorry.

We have no idea what image or how old the image is that the op is running and can't tell what he will see in the feeds. He will only find 17.1 on a very recent build.

Menu / Plugins / Install Plugins (green button) / Extensions should be there.......... mx3l-Kodi

On the Edision osmega it is also appearing as kodi in extensions now. Just updated to 5.0.011 and wondered where it had gone

Not available for MIPS receivers - only ARM. I have a GB Quad too:(
Luckily I have a HD51, so it works on that, but the Quad is my primary box.
