View Full Version : [ET8x00] Problem fast forwarding content on NAS drive

I've just flashed my box with the latest Vix version, completed a new setup without restoring any previous settings and have remounted my NAS drive to acces my movie and tv show collection.
Every time I try to fast forward a movie or show the box locks, the spinner appears in the top left corner and everything becomes completely unresponsive. The only way to resolve this appears to turn the Xtrend off and back on again.
This has not been a problem on any previous Vix releases for me.
Had anyone else had a similar issue?

I have always found the FF / RR of mkv files on enigma2 boxes to be hit and miss, may be better to use the number buttons to jump forward instead.

It's always worked fine for me up until this version of Vix

I too use the numbers 3, 6, 9 to go forward and the ones on the other side to go back. FF and REW never worked for ages ago and I just stopped using them.

No issues here with the latest Vix and NAS as a HDD - FF and RWD work fine.

Using the Virgin Skin if that makes a diff.

It doesn't. What makes a difference is how the files are encoded.

Not in my case, have always streamed mkv files from my NAS. Nothing has changed for me except Vix version.
