Hi .recently set up os mega with 2 sat cables from sly dish. I've tuned in both a and b tuners to 28.2e satellites. Have set up cross epg to. While recording BBC 2 hd I wanted to watch itv hd but it wouldn't allow that as came up with no free tuner ?
Any ideas anyone ?
Something simple I presume but this all new to .me...
I have a 500 hdd installed

Real life:
You have two signal wires connected to receiver.

Software life:
What have you configured the tuner configuration for tuner A?
What have you configured the tuner configuration for tuner B?

Please give two separate answers

Was anyone streaming from receiver?

No one streaming from box.
Where do I look for configuration of tuners ?

Tuner a :broadcom bcm73xx (dvb-s2)
Single
Sats:28.2e Astra 2e/2f/2g

Tuner b : broadcom bcm73xx (dvb-s2)
Single
Says: 28.2e Astra 2e/2f/2g

Tuner c ftm-4862 (Avalink avl6862) (dvb-s2

Nothing conected to tuner c

So both a and b look same ?

Did you have any recordings in progress, about to start or just finished?

Set BBC 2 to record then tried to change to itv but wouldn't allow that. I could watch BBC 1 though but nothing else

What about checking to see if you sat lock on both tuners.

Menu-setup-service searching-signal finder.

Shows tuner A. Then press right to show tuner b

Should see green tick for lock on sat.

No lock would likely point to a cabling issue.

If that was the case, it would have resulted in tune failed message. Somehow, the receiver thinks all tuners are being used.

Tuner b has green tick and some numbers flashing
Tuner a has no tick and no numbers flashing.
Does that help ?

Swap the cables over at the back and see if the the Tick moves to the other tuner

Can you post pictures of your tuner configuration pages please? One for Tuner A, another for tuner B. Do not take a picture of the page that shows everything.

Is it still tuner a that has no lock?

I would have expected the tuner B to have no lock had it been a cabling issue.

Tried again tonight and have started a recording on BBC 1 Hd and have gone to itv hd and sm able to view that..maybe a loose connection.
On the lock screen tuner b has flashing numbers but tuner a still no tick and no flashing numbers.
Does that sound normal ?

Just checked again and tuner A now got green tick and flashing numbers.
Update-just pressed record on BBC 2 and can still watch other channels but checked lock screen whilst that recording and tuner A has not got green tick and no flashing numbers.
So is that normal ?

Does Tuner A still not pick anything up if you flick between transponders?.

Personally I would pull both cables out and check them one by one in TunerB to rule out cabling problems. Then move onto TunerA

I'll take a look tonight. I did record 2 programmes at same last night so indicates both working.
Where do I find what transponders are doing ?
I think tuner A doesn't have a green tick when it recording?
