Flashing light near LNB lead? You mean the ethernet port on the receiver?

Looks like you have the Surface Mounted Device type. If I were in your shoes, I would try replacing them.
Please ignore. Incorrect information.

It's usually the C807 capacitor (Written on motherboard) which usually goes. I've fixed a fair few and it's pretty easy.

If you not comfortable desoldering the existing one cut the capacitor so the legs are still attached to the motherboard, solder the new cap onto the legs.

Yes the motherboard will have to be took out, it's not as daunting as it looks.

Did you have a read of the guide Andy pointed you to?

It's easy fix if you can solder, if not take it to a local telly repair shop

Good quality 60/40 silver solder, you only need a 25 watt soldering iron.

A 220µF 16V 85°C Electrolytic Capacitor, 19p from maplins. (Part Number - VH41U)
