View Full Version : I've broken Kodi

Hi all.
Was not sure where to post this.

I've had my box for a couple of months now after visiting W o S and had only been using the satellite viewing side of the functionality both terrestrial and fixed & motorised dishes.

Just before the vix5 update came out I started using Kodi which was OK but then I tried a plug-in and I have managed to kill Kodi. When I launch it it goes back to the launch plugin screen.

I have tried an un-install and re-install and I have the same problem.

After much reading I have managed to FTP the box and was looking for files left behind after the un-install but with no luck finding any.

So I'm now stuck, suggestions would be much appreciated on how to fix this.

I have updated the vix images.
Thanks.

On your HDD you should find a .kodi directory .. try deleting that...

After reading other posts this was the first thing I tried but I could not find a .kodi directory.
In one post I read it mentioned a 'hidden directory .kodi'
Have I missed something, I could see and scroll round the HDD file structure.

You need select view Hidden folders in your FTP program. I use FileZilla and took me a while to find the option to enable view hidden files

Many thanks all sorted. I was using my browser to FTP but needed the FileZilla to display the hidden files.
