Hi,

My Vu Duo remote seems to have given up ghost, I have flashed the latest openvix image available and once the box boots up my remote doesn't seem to respond at all:confused:

Although having said that, whilst booting up if I press any button on the remote a green led flashes on the box as though it is working okay, then once booted it doesn't recognise it ?

I did a full backup before the image install but cannot access it as my hard drive is fubar.

I have just put a new hard drive in the box but the remote still doesn't respond ?

Has anyone got a solution to this please ?

odd! try new batteries and see what happens. the other option is to re-programme the remote

You may need to try changing the remote code.

Thanks for your replys, how do I re-programme the remote, it has just been working again and then stopped totally.

I have just flashed openpli 4.0 onto the box, the remote was working fine now its stopped again:rolleyes: I've tried new batteries too that hasn't helped.

thanks for the quick reply, I've tried that but no led lights up when pressing 2&7 together for time stated ? Could it be a new remote job ?

Latest Vix does. On the left hand side.

Latest Vix does. On the left hand side.

Hmmm, thanks for that I will reflash it and take a look, there definitely wasn't an option in settings/setup for remote ?

Dont use the settings in the webif - use the remote control in the webif to go into the receiver menu (settings->remote control code)

Okay mate, thank you, I will try that but I'm certain there's no remote settings option anywhere ? Might just bite bullet and buy a new remote...

No. You will see a picture of a remote control on the left hand side. Just click on the buttons on the picture and it will act the same as a hand held remote. This way you can get into the menu on your box which will show up on your tv.

Your front display panel is faulty according to the other thread. The remote sensor is on the front panel.
