It's not true PIP, but will be good enough to know when an ad break has finished.

and how can i install? this was my question.

The files go here just over-write the old ones

/lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra/

If you are updating the VIX duo image use the files

mbox-dvb-modules-bm750-2.6.18-7.3-4.4.3-20110114.tar.gz

Warning always back up you image first

ftp to box and place the file in /tmp/

then telnet to box and type

cd /tmp
then

tar -xzvf mbox-dvb-modules-bm750-2.6.18-7.3-4.1.1-20110114.tar.gz -C /
or

tar -xzvf mbox-dvb-modules-bm750-2.6.18-7.3-4.3.3-20110114.tar.gz -C /
depending on which you have used for your box

This was not a good idea... I tried this, and I did make a backup before I FTP'd the files over, which went just fine by the way... The only problem I have now, is that the STB don't boot. It comes to the "marbles", and that's it... It doesn't even read the USB-stick with the backup on, so by now I have no Vu+ to play with.

Any help/good advice what to do next? I can get to it by FTP, it seems, but that's more or less it. :(

Phuh... After x attempts, I finally managed to get it to read the USB, so now I'm back to basic. Should've read the whole thread before I tried this. (pooface's post)

If you can access the box via ftp, then you should be able to go to the /media/usb/imagebackups and take the backup that you made off over ftp, put it on your usb stick, and then restore the backup...
