View Full Version : [VU+ Solo2] Video playback problem

Something seems to be broken in video playback in 5.0.002 (001 is ok). When playing avi/mp4/mkv files etc the time elapsed is not running and I cannot skip through the file using 3/6/9 buttons etc. Fast forward will work but when the play button is pressed it jumps back to the start. The files will play from start to finish. This does not happen with recordings made by the receiver. I have tried a fresh flash with no restore.

Me 2 - Vu+ Solo2 - 5.0.002 as well,
and indeed before this version it was behaving on the 3 - 6 - 9 buttons in MP4, FLV and MPG files, the same as in Receiver recordings (in my case advance 20 sec., 60 sec. and 4 min. resp. every time when pressed).
Now it seems to jump to the 20 sec., 60 sec. and 4 min. position in the video, and with repeated pressing going back to that position.
Also time indication in the bar will not indicate time elapsed (stays at 0) nor remaining (here it will just show the total time)

Loads of problems here with vuduo and vuduo2 on 5.002.
Epgrefresh and/or epgimporter kills receiver after import when shutdown after import is adjusted.
Video playback problem, network lost mount again and again and again during the installation of settings (meanwhile stable),
no hbbtv. Will go back to 4.2. No problems there.

I can confirm have same issue on my mutant hd51 on 5.0.02

Can time skip and FFWd on recorded programs but not on any files I have transferred to the box eg mp4, avi, mkv.
The timer remains at 0:00 when playing.

Yes - me too. ccs and GarryBoy made me aware of this thread when I posted a fresh one (after a brief attempt at searching myself). Team admins, happy if you close my duplicate thread down and I'll follow developments on this one. All tech detail I gave is included by the other guys above.

Will stay at 5.0.001 pending any news on here. Thanks

I get the same on my ET10000, looks like the 3, 6 and 9 keys do jump forward the set amount but the video then jumps back to the start of the video, bloody annoying as the jump forward and backwards using the number pad is a feature I use all the time, especially given that fast forward and rewind have never really worked properly.

As a work around seek can be used. Hold down left / right buttons either side of ok bring up seek bar.

Not sure what exactly caused this issue, our dev build from last night is ok. This issue is fixed, so will be in next release build in few days time.

Vu+ Solo2
OpenVix 5.0.002

I moved from OpenPli to OpenViX yesterday and was about to revert back to OpenPli due to this issue but I will stick with it and hopefully there will be a fix soon.

Good choice to stick with it.
Generally things like these are fixed quickly, and I am using OpenVix since 4 years to my full satisfaction.

I am having the same issues with 3,5.7 buttons on remote since updating to openvix 5 on solo se v2.
Also cannot get the downloaded srt subtitles to work.
Rolled back to 4.0.030 and all is OK again.

No need to go back to version 4. version 5.0.001 works ok once the timer fix is applied.

I thought the duo didn't support version 5?
