Doesn't that depend on which service is being received?

CrossEPG (OpenTV) is fast for almost all brands of receivers
CrossEPG (internet download) is slow and you cant use receiver

What some people do is:
Use CrosEPG for 28.2 OPenTV
Use Stream EPG for Cable/Terrrestrial (automated gathering/zapping using EPG refresh)
Use EPG importer for the other satellites/providers

I use epg importer for my cable channels.
How good is EPG refresh?

EPG refresh is just an automated channel changer.

The EPG readers in Enigma2 obtain the EPG data.
