Hd51 stuck at boot screen after flashing vix 5

Mutant HD51 stuck on boot screen after vix5 flash , tried flashing 6 times with different usb sticks and front/back usb port
HD51 reboots but never gets past the vix boot screen , Help please

Pull out pwr lead.
Stick usb in front ... no other usb's inserted
Hold power button and connect pwr lead ... should see on display flashing kernel etc .. if not it doesn,t see /find the hd51 folder.
If latter (cannot find folder) ensure usb is fat32 formatted and copy hd51 again .. then try flash again
On my HD51 it takes an eternity to flash and so i go and make a cup of tea and then it might then say finished ... which is why I never usb flash :) unless i have absolutely no choice.... its out of the stone age.
