Signal Issues - Crackling Picture

Hi,

Strange issue I'm having with a new Technomate box. Trying to fit it for someone but the picture keeps crackling and I'm led to believe it's something to do with the signal. Works fine with the original 'proper' box. Has a 6dB attenuator attached, but have tried both without and with a 10dB attenuator but to no avail. Have tried in two other locations and working fine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this could be?

Thanks for the response. Do you suggest unplugging the phone to test the signal then? Never experienced anything like this before.

It was just a possibility, if the cabling is good quality then it shouldn't really be an issue.

Easy to test though, just power them off for a minute.
