Hi everyone am new to this forum please be patient with me , I installed a wife dongle it recognised it by it goes to and error and the box restarts can someone please help.

On a serious note have you installed the drivers from the plugin feeds?

Yes , sorry it's meant to be wifi spelling error, and no I haven't installed the driver as I red some where it installs automatically, do I go in to plugin to install it.

Would be worth a look just to see if the wifi dongle is listed in the plugins. If so install and then restart and see what happens?

i checked the plugins but but con't find TP-LINK TL-WN821N is there a way of installing the driver manually if i was to download it from the net.

Searching the forum, going back a number of years, I haven't found anyone who got that dongle working.

That's not to say it won't work, but I couldn't find anything positive.

thank youTP-LINK TL-WN821N is the description of the product. Linux runs Wifi dongles by the chipset that is in them. In this case it looks like it's an Atheros AR9170. The driver is network-usb-carl9170, and that is installed by default (at least it is on my et8000).

Hi ,thanx for the reply i cant find that chipset in the plugin drivers , as soon as i go to network wizard available networks it crashes .
