Hello,

I have a problem that has started recently (was OK) that when I am viewing HD channels, using the remote volume control brings up the volume bar and changes the number of segments correctly, but the volume does not actually change. The only effect is in going to minimum volune, the sound mutes as the last segment disappears.

Is this a known problem and can anyone offer a suggestion to fix? I have installed the latest OpenVIX image without effect.

Thanks in advance,

I should add that the volume control works OK with non-HD channels - the problem is only with HD channels:confused:

Which image are you on? Please give a number instead of saying "latest".

Which HD channels? Name, Satellite (which one), cable, terrestrial or IPTV?

Are you using an amplifier?

Image is openvix-4.2.030.release-tmnano3t

I have used BBC 1,2,News HD from the Astra 28.2 E - worked ok with the non HD versions of the same channels

No - HDMI connection to Phillips TV

In fact, I appear to have solved the problem by reloading the image above but instead of using the 'restore settings' function, I set the box up from scratch with fresh tuner config and service scan. The volume control now works correctly for both HD and non HD channels. I think the original problem occurred after I had streamed a video from my computer over the network through the box - I will try that again to see if the same problem is induced and I will post the result.

Thank you very much for your reply, much appreciated.
