ive got a quad plus box , still trying to get to grips with it .

A)
Regarding transcoding , i understand the box does transcoding is it hardware encoding.
firstly using the android app i have transcoding ticked ,
what are the 2 transcoding methods
1. streamproxy
2. enigma2 embedded

are these software transcoders ?
im using VPN
The reason i ask when play HD recording through the app (over internet) , its choppy using embedded play or vlc

if i use OpenWebinf and and select movies on the menu, and select the android icon for the same recording,
it downloads a m3u file which i open with vlc , and it plays very smoothly
could anybody give me insight to this ? thanks
ps using openvix

B)
One tuner only ,if playing channel on tv and on phone\tablet accidently clicked on same channel to play , the tv screen goes grey
rebooting machine doesnt correct on way to do reset switch on the back. Any way to prevent or solve ?

thanks its very confusing some places on the net the its mentioned hardware encoding , anyway regarding my question B i have been playing
when tv has gone grey instead of rebooting the machine i have rebooted the gui openwebif and that brings the picture on tv back.

Also on the Gigablue App on android , i just enabled authentication on the setting and now picture is on TV and on the phone at the same time , no greying out , hope it helps somebody

btw im try using android
ive tried a few different apps where port it using is 8002 , which is transcoding port , this where i get green screen with correct sound problem. If using port 8001 , then its ok apart hd is bit jerky due to full stream streaming. ive used gigablue's own app which behave the same
