Forgive me for asking (I am very new to this).
Can I get these updates via the box: Menu - Setup - Software Mgmt - Software Update ??

If not, how do I install these updates?

this is officail 5.5 update and only works with officail 5.5 firmware

to install ftp to tmp and telnet to box

Ah, OK. I'm using VIX so I take it these are non applicable to me? Is there a way to know what updates are for what?

the new update to vix will have it incorporated
