This receiver really does seem to tick all the boxes, I've been sitting here looking at the sponsors website now for about 2 hours and this box seems to have everything I want. I can't believe it's only £100, what's the catch? I'm looking for something that supports the openvix image, has an internal hard drive and has twin tuners. I realize that I would need to buy the hard drive and extra tuner but I already have a hard drive and I only have one feed at the moment so this would be ideal to upgrade in the future.
What are peoples experience with these boxes? The support doesn't look as good as the vu+duo but with that price tag it really is tempting. Should I buy one?

In a word, yes.
I had my doubts about it with the receiver looking small but it's quite fast at boot up and ticks all the boxes.
I have it set up at a friend's house with twin cable and freeview and with nearly a weeks usage he is happy.
I have installed a 2.5 inch hard drive and there is no issue with that .
For the price of nearly £140 for a triple tuner it represents great value for money.
Go for it press that Checkout button :)

It's a brilliant little box, does everything the Duo1 does

And had the added advantage of a decent remote control compared with the extremely poor quality remote controls that come with VU boxes.

I got one in the end  Just a quick question: how do I flash it? The flash guide is for a nano se, is it the same method for the one I got, the Nano-SE M2 PLUS?

Great service from the sponsor, it arrived today - I only ordered it Monday night.
Another quick question - I want to put the hard drive from my dm800 in the nano, will the nano format the drive when I install it? There's a few bits on the drive I don't want to lose.

The HDD needs to be Ext4, so depends what format the HDD is in the DM800? If you are worried about losing anything, you could ftp the stuff you want to your pc and transfer back over when you have initialised it? Also is the HDD 2.5"?

That's a good idea, I'll ftp it out, then I don't need to worry about it... Pretty sure it's 2.5 in the dm800

Didn't need to format it, it just worked.. Can someone tell me the default username and password to ftp to it please?

If you have one cable tuner and adequate signal, you can watch/record all the channels on that one frequency.
If you have two cable tuners and adequate signal, you can watch/record all the channels on those two frequencies.
