Just noticed my max digital xp1000 I've had for years is no longer supported. Is that correct.

Correct. The clones were masking around as that receiver. Server was getting hammered by them, so they were chopped. You can use OpenPLi and OpenATV.

The newer machines masquerade themselves as a Mutant 1200.

Ah bugger. Will continue to use the vix I have on it now. Il make an image back up. As it's working fine at the moment.

So the plugins are still available currently but no more images will be made beyond 4.2

Other way round. Image built, no plugin server though.

Lol no probs. To be honest I only use the blue Hd skin. And I have that backed up on my laptop.

So it's not really a biggy

Sorry to hijack the thread.

I see WOS have it for £69, will it worth getting Octagon SF8 HD - XP1000 at that price?

It will connected to 19E and 28E, now I have a Solo2 so the XP1000 will be use in another room but not very frequent.

I think the plugins I will use are:

AutoBouquetMaker
EPG-Importer (maybe crossEPG)
IMDB
CCCxM

Even if the plugins Menu/download does not have anything I assume I could download and install manually, will they all work?

When looking at the images and support should I be looking for SF8 or XP1000 (http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/octagon-images/)? because both names are on name on the WOS store Octagon SF8 HD - XP1000 Single Tuner DVB-S2 Enigma2 Linux Satellite Receiver (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Octagon-SF8-HD-XP1000)

My xp1000 is called a maxdigital rather than octagon.

The feed don't work for this.

Hi guys, I have the octagon SF8HD but I cant seem to access the plugin feeds, currently on openvix 4.1 001, if I update to the latest image can I get access to the plugin feeds? I just need to download oscam, but when I download the files from the openvix.co.uk site the box doesnt seem to run any of the versions. Thanks.

Yes I think you need to upgrade to the latest image in order to use the plugins section.
Have you put your oscam config files in the correct place?

Ok thanks for confirming. Yep the files are in the correct place, the box just won't start the cam. I guess it needs a full reflash with an up to date version.

Since openvix no longer support my xp1000 I thought I'd give Openatv a blast. Not too my liking at all. Not as intuitive as Vix. Menus all over the place.

Really missed the features like autoboquetsmaker.

I downloaded a plugin called autobouquets from the feeds. Set up as West Scotland. BBC 1 and 2 in wrong place. Not so good.

My question is can I take autobouquets maker from openvix over to Openatv.

I've reloaded openvix 4.2.06 for the time being.

You can install ABM from any of the OE-A images. You will find it in system plugins.

With regards to AB 28.2, you have to edit the swap.

The numbers are different for the four nations. ABM has a hack to use the same number.

Thanks Abu. Forgot about looking in the system plugins. Was only looking in extensions.

Il give at another shot. Just so used to the openvix menu layout.

I thought this box was a doorstop as my vix image thinking Apollo was the last one but found this today.
