setting up Vu Du02 for Cable feed.

I am thinking about converting my box and also setting one up for my in laws and other bits im reading all seem conflicting.

My in laws already have a cable feed setup and going into the house. im looking to only keep their internet connection.

my few questions are:-

If I get the 1x Twin Tuner Hybrid DVB-C/T/T2 Tuner model, how many channels will this record at once?

Do i just tune the tuner in the same way and use the normal AutoBoutiques like i have done with my Vu?

Is there any thing else i need to do as i read i need a XFL file but then i also read that these models should come with it if Vix is pre installed.


Also any other info/ guidance would be great. thanks.

1/ Twin hybrid cable tuner lets you watch one and record another.
2/ ABM has a cable option. You will need your Net ID, which can be grabbed from the official receivers menu.

where can i find Net ID in official tivo receiver by that i mean in the menu thanks in advance.

what happens if you dont a tivo box to get the net id from ?

If you don't have VM set top box to get your net id from then you are stealing pay television and you will get no help.
