Will be used on a fixed dish 28e.

Image a produced from a form of Enigma 2. I believe CCcam works as a client only through Radar. This image has Radar in its softcam panel http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?5456-Arthur-BKP_QBOXHd_MINI_v0.0.50_10-12-2010

I'm still trying to find out about what settings it uses.

They are using Vhannibal settings via

Press Menu / Setup Menu / addons, download AddOns (green button), Duolabs Ok;
3. To list channels go to "Settings" and select your setting

if thats the case it should be relatively easy to import your own once we know the directory there saved to on the box it self.

Yes, but are they a standard Enigma2 settings or converted in someway for the Qbox?

Just to shed a little light on the channel settings they are using Vhannibal settings which is a pain . However you can edit the settings using dreambox edit using enigma 2 setting which means it uses the same directorys as the dreambox and VU + . If anyone knows how to edit standard channel setting to work as Vhannibal it would be a big step forward for me as i just dont have the time to be making channel lists.

If you can edit them with dreamboxedit, you should be able to use any set of Enigma 2 settings. Have you tried cateyes or Silverfox settings?

It might be to do with the channel numbering.

Seems to be, CCcam sorted in this thread http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?5330-Qbox-mini-hd-cccam and we've learnt that Enigma 2 settings/bouquets can be sent to the receiver with Enigmaedit http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?5649-EnigmEdit-v1.3.7 So all in all looks quite easy :)

is the a viable sub £200 alternative to the solo?

is the a viable sub £200 alternative to the solo?

depends on what you want it for

me i use my solo as a client but paying that extra 50 60 odd for me is worth it as i can use my sly card in it and change it to server if need be

so really you need to way up the pros and cons before you decide

remember to visit the sponsor for your purchase either way

another thing to remember is this is a twin tuner box and using the radar sat share opens up quite a few sats.

Why dont you take a look at the TM800HD, run's Enigma 2 Linux, use as client and server with fantastic build quality http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?5709-Unbeatable-Technomate-TM-800HD-deal-to-forum-members-INC-FREE-WIFI-N-MODULE!

If you want 7day epg stick with a Solo or TM800 using latest DW image. Then again the TM5402HD has improved on the HD front, its non-linux and works as a client.

@ sicilian I am very suprised that you would recomend a TM800 with the problems this box has had, maybe the wispers are true :sofahide:

the reason why Sic has suggested it is becasue DIGIDUDE has made and still working ona brill image and now he is active here too to help since the jtagg the box has improved very much.

and also all the site staff support the forum sponsor that includes sic and considering the offer that the sponsor is giving for this box it a real steal

i would go for one if it wasn't for the fact i have a solo and a duo

Personally I take it as good to testament to Technomate's customer service. Despite the issues they had, they stuck with it and got there in the end.

Mick,
How you been getting on with this box?
are the Bouquets as easy to set up as the VU?
Any chance of some screen shots?
Also you got working LCD Picons?

Cheers
