Hdmi cec setup help needed please

Hello everyone hopefully someone can help me out with this problem. How do I set up hdmi cec feature on the xtrend et8500 with my Samsung TV??
I've tried all the settings on the xtrend et8500 and the TV with no luck. I have a firestick plugged in to the TV and that works turning on switching inputs etc.
Just can't get the xtrend working.
Can anyone share the settings you use on your xtrend??

Did you ever get this sorted? Cant seem to get my Panasonic TV to talk o the ET8500 although it works fine with my android box
