Am pretty confident with using the VU+ Duo ive had for 2 years
is there much difference user wize between the 4K and Duo+ boxes?

Hi. The ViX image is the same across all boxes, so if you are familiar with that you will be fine. But one thing you need to know is with all 4K receivers, they are ARM based processors and the only sofcam you can use is Oscam. Oscam-Latest is all that you need and is available from the plugin feeds.

I recommend setting up from scratch as the Duo and any 4K receiver you had in mind buying are completely different in architecture etc. Which 4K receiver did you have in mind?

Nice receiver, a mate of mine has one and uses it with a 128gb sandisk ultra fit usb stick for EPG data, Timeshift & recordings. [emoji4]

Doesn't take an internal HDD, could always look inside and see if room for a SSD as they are small compared to 2.5" drives. [emoji4]

Oscam needs slightly different settings for satellite and cable, there are working cable configs already on here and have been for years siyf :thumbsup:

I sent the Box back untill such times i can find a 4K box that will support Cccam i know am stupid and should have read into it first my bad

You'll have a long wait as they are ARM based and only Oscam works. I tried MgCamd 1.38 a while back and that didn't work on ARM.

i can live with out 4K on my box only got 1 demo channel anyway lol
was thinking of the future not to worry
hope i get a refund lol
