Hi,

I have a Vu + Duo which I got from WoS 3 years ago, and its worked perfectly. Hovever this week I've started to get epg problems:
Occasionally the channel info is poplated, then it just vanished on some or all channels. There's no channel info at all on any HD programmes.

I can get if back by downloading the EPG and rebooting, it works ok for bit then in vanishes. When I select a channel, the epg info appears along the bottom of the screen ok, but doesn't always appear when I go into epg itself. I'm using cross epg.

This is summary of system & settings:

Black hole v 2.0.8
500Gb HDD 486Gb free
Cross EPG
Open tv, hip hop, refreshing automatically @ 0700 daily and saved to HDD
Csv enabled, epg force reload on boot, etc.

Not sure if I've done something, and I've been trying different settings for a few days & now ripping my hair out.

I've read about deleting the epg.date file via telnet, but bit scared to try that

Could anyone help please?

P's be gentle, I've never had to touch the box before so complete novice

Hi
Don't know anything about blackhole but...
easy way to clear epg data is....
open google/internet explorer ect if using windows.....
where http:// is delete this and entre....
ftp://box ip address(192.x.x.x)
If you have a password setup on your box you should have another box appear asking for user name / password
user name:root password (Your password)
If no password then you should get a load of files listed.
Then if using windows press ALT & V key together then select open ftp site in file explorer.
Goto HDD
You should then see a folder called crossepg
Delete this folder.
There may also be a file called epg.dat delete this as well.
then reload epg from your box as normal........
