VU+ Duo 2 can i add a 3rd tuner?

Hi I have a VU+ Duo 2 receiver, at the back it has 3 slots for tuners but when I open it up I cant see how to fittings for the 3rd one? is this possible?

The third slot at the back is just a dummy, the Duo2 can only take 2 tuners.

yh i always thought that was strange. Although one of my mates has said that he managed to solder a 3rd tuner himself. Is that possible?

It is because that chassis is used for more than one STB.

Not better just buying a dual tuner and sell the single?
