Remote not working with xt 10000hd- can only use webif vix 4.1.016

Is there any way I can get remote to work on xtrend 10000hd without trying a re-flash?

As suggested in a earlier thread first make sure the remote is working by pointing it towards a digital camera and seeing if it picks up the flash of the L.E.D. pretty much ALL digital cameras including cell phones have a digital pass filter for blocking IR but it should still show up as a bright flash when viewed on screen.

Once you know the remote is working you can progress from there.

iphones seem to have a filter on the main camera that completely blocks IR from a remote, but not on the secondary camera. My Samsung picks up the remote on both cameras, as do the digital cameras that I own.

Lol i have a specifically modified (at considerable expense) Infra Red DSLR camera. So I kinda do know a thing or two.
