Managing IPTV Recordings

I've managed to set timers to record a number of programmes from live TV channels available on the Filmon app in the Albatros plugin and they playback fine, but when I try to fast forward to miss out advertising the recording just reverts back to the start!
Any suggestions how I can overcome this? Wondering if there is something in the recording settings I am missing? Thanks

use the numbers 1,3,6,7,8,9 to FF & RW

Thanks for the suggestion. My remote doesn't respond to the number pad for FF or RW. If I use the FF or RW buttons at the top of the remote or the centre << and >> controls I can see the video is fast forwarding or rewinding but when I then try to play it just reverts to the start of the vid no matter how far I have fast forwarded it.
