forgive me if this has been asked before

i tried searching for EPG but the string is too short for a search :smash:

i have a Vu+ duo With hard drive installed.

yesterday in the morning i was was watching a sky channel and i saw something on sky 1 that was on in the evening that i wanted to record.

so i go to sky1 channel and go to epg, it shows now and next then i when i scrolled right to 6pm it showed nothing, so wasnt able to set timer at that point.

ive not done this before so its all new to me, using vix 1.3 image

i downloaded cooltv guide but same happened in there

what am i doing wrong?

Thanks

What image are you using? As different images have different EPG options.

Press blue button.
ViX Menu.
Go into Crossepg and disable for now.
Then go into RyVIX and enable as extension.
Exit out of everything.
Press Blue button again.
RyVIX EPG.
Press blue button for sources and select Rytec UK.
Green button to close.
Now set you auto update time and enable.
Press yellow for manual download.
Once EPG starts to download press green to close.

Think thats everything lol.

Another thing to set it where you EPG data is stored when rebooting etc..

Do you have a HDD or USB stick attached?

Go to VIX Menu > VIX Settings (I think thats what the option is) and set the location where you EPG data is stored. Dont worry about storing on HDD, it wont spin up everytime EPG is opened, this is just for starage during reboot etc..
