Network mount

Hi. Had Vlc player setup to stream movies from pc and all working fine. After recent updates tried to setup again but can't get it to work for some reason. Therefore went into network browser and found my pc and then my shared folder. Pressed ok to mount the folder. Not sure what settings I should select eg cifs or nfs etc. Also once mounted how do I access the movies etc

use nfs its better

once mounted it will be in flder

Do I use DVD player or media player to get to media/net folder or something else as I have looked in both of these and cannot see pc shared folder? Thanks.

no you can use file browser plugin or use the recorded movies button on remote
