Edison Os Mini

Hi all , i got last 2 boxi's i bought from world-of-satellite ,and i use Openpli image all ways ,little bit more easy for me ,when i install ABM ,i done the configure setup expert ,when i try to go one provider , i click on it and wait to open the option to add ID Area,but nothing happen ,looks it will open but nothing ,this is happen only on this 2 latest box i bought , i flash it with openvix the latest all fine no problem ,but i prefer more openpli ,the reason i need to install the openpli is because i ready open new thread here, i got some problem with other provides when i use Openvix image ,any one use to have same prob i got now ,or anyone know how to sort out,
please let me know

Hi all , sorry to bother any one here again ,but no one here have the same issue i got ,cause no one haven't discuss about this prob, or no one help me cause i use Openpli image ,and i am on wrong forum, but i am buying receiver world-of-satellite.com,i ready spoke with the dealer he promise he will help me,no just for me but for any one who use same device i use and the same issue ,

The problem is we cannot understand what the problem is. Can you rephrase? Stick to the ABM specifics please.

Have you updated to latest PLI build?

problem is ABM ,
1)i flash the box ,
2)install the abm
3)then i configure the abm,
4)i try to add ID area on provider, but wont open the provider option to add,
5)all ways i flash the box , i do with the latest image
so this is the prob cannot open to add the id on it ,
this all , i think is easy to understand ,
i never have this prob before ,
i bought many boxis from world of satellite , the dealer he know me very well , and i am not beginning on this job ,
but i am not moderator or beta tester ,i am just sat installer ,

I am filtering out some of what you are saying in order to understand/deal with issue. Some time, too much information just confuses things. I am trying to test this:

My actions were as follows:

I installed 20161109 PLI image
Set tuner as:


type= dvb-c
config. mode = enabled
Net ID = 00000
used type = Freq bands
config scan details = no

You do not need to enter net ID for the UK.

I installed ABM, restarted so that it shows up/does not crash on first run
In ABM, I selected Virgin as provider
I was able to scroll right/left and change the area.
(This has never opened, you just scroll right/left till you get to your number)
I then scanned using ABM, it worked fine.

Notes:
Are you using "Edision OS mini +" or "Edision OS mini"
The latest PLI image for the edision mini is 20161028, there was a problem with their build process. I have posted on their forum for you.
I don't know how to get logs from PLI images, but you may have to do this if you want to progress the matter

i dont know why is this problem ,can you backup that image for me and i will reflash it on mate box ,

First i done hundred of boxi's mate ,isn't first box i am doing,i do not disrespect here no one here ,and i am not here to worst some body time ,i know what i am doing,
1)I have Edison os mini
2)I flash the same image you test ,cause you test it and i thought is ok
3)then i reflash again with latest ,with this one here OpenPLi-4.0-beta-osmini-20161028_usb
4)i click ok when i highlight the provider option ,this wont open ,all problem is here cause wont open , if this open then i can choose the Id area,
this i all , i will upload screen shot , but wont help no one the screen shot ,

after that i reflash the box with openvix image ,nothing prob with it everything ok , but we need openpli to be install one the box,

i don't know what to say else,can any body can make Openpli for Edison os mini full buckup for me just to find out why is this prob,

Hi mate , to go to area you must choose provider ,this provider wont open , if it open i know how to choose the ID area ,

My apologies, I misunderstood you. I thought you were having problems selecting your area, your problem is you cannot select your provider.

You will have to wait for the PLI updated image. There were more posts about it on their forum, so maybe a day or so longer.

glad you understand and you know this problem ready,so you recon is better keep contact with Openpli forum till they agree and let as know the problem fix,or i can wait from you to confirm as here ,what do you suggest me ,and sorry for trouble mate

the problem was a skin change within the plugin. this was fixed as soon as identified.



Unfortunately, there was a change to the bsp file with regards to USB tuners. This resulted in PLI images not being built for the Edisions. The fix to BSP file was made on GitHub but that also needed the image build machine to run a "clean" command.

The fix was to reinstate the skin component. This is already on latest images.
