VU+ SE Hard Drive

Hi i see in the ordering section from sponser they ony state 500gb hard drive is this the max for the SE.

Think about what you actually want/need. I had a quick look at my recordings, 1hr of SD came in at 1.3GB (this can and will vary), to give a ball park figure divide 500 by 1.3 which gives 384hrs of SD. Once formatted that 500GB will look more like 465GB and things like TS will use some of that space, so work on 350ish hrs per 500GB. Either way you can use a larger drive if needed, but 500GB is almost 15 days of TV 24/7.

Hi, Thanks, i know how much space recordings take i have 1Tb and 2 Tb drives in my solo² and duo².Some devices are not compatable with larger external drives that was what i was askinking about .As you state a lager drive can be used on the SE
