image update question

I am about to update my box from 3.2 to 4 .
Can I restore my settings from backup after the update please?
If so , how is it done? any guidance is appreciated.

also have another box from WOS today and the above may be useful on that box also.

fresh flash.First save your settings ,channel llists and so to your PC and FTP them back.Also instaal fresh applications from feed.

Can I move certain settings from one box to another ...?
Such as channel lists espg settings etc? If so how is it done ?
I can ftp , but not sure if I can copy files / info as new box is vu + zero and main box is duo2.

Trying to get new box to mirror the main box .
